The Commonwealth sponsor of the Letters About Literature program, the Massachusetts Center for the Book welcomed 30 students, Grades 4 through 12, to a Statehouse awards ceremony on May 16. Rep. Kate Hogan, House Chair of the Public Library Caucus, was the legislative sponsor of the event. Our very own Al-Hamra Academy seventh-grader Saja Ahmad, a Shrewsbury resident, was honored for a letter to author Kelly DiPucchio about her book “Grace for President.”
